M.S. (2008) "Stigmatization of HIV Positive Individuals"

I am from Glenside PA and got my undergraduate degree from La Salle University in Philadelphia.  I am interested in health psychology and the area of public health.  Specifically I am interested in the effect that life threatening illnesses or injury's have on the person and their families.  I am also interested in how stress plays a role in a person's health.  My thesis looked at stigma placed in HIV positive individuals.  My goal was to better understand what factors are involved in the stigmatization of HIV positive individuals.  I plan on getting a PhD in either Clinical Psychology-Health Psychology or Public Health.
